Proverbial Meaning: What it actually means when an English, or English speaking, person says the proverb.
Literal Origins: The more literal meaning of the proverbs and, in some cases, the actual origin of the proverb.
Common Usage: Whether or not the proverb is still in common use and, if it is, an example of it’s use in a sentence.
